Let us introduce the folks who work at Eagle Eye Optical

Melaina Catabay, ABO, NCLE

Owner / Optician

Melaina is an "American Board of Opticianry" certified optician. Her attention to detail results in a commitment to personalized customer service. When combined with Melaina's technical skills and laboratory ability, it's no wonder Eagle Eye Optical is known for producing only high quality eyeglasses.  She worked for 12 years in a machine shop before going back to school to learn opticianry.  Since graduating with an AA Degree in Opticianry from P.C.C. in 1994, Melaina has worked in all aspects of eyeglass production.

After graduating, she found optical lab jobs were either small fast-paced "one-hour" places or high production manufacturing.  Neither choice gave her the satisfaction of managing the quality of a job from start to finish.  Now she has a "full-service" lab located inside our shop so she has control of the whole process from generating (grinding your prescription into the lens) to finishing (mounting the lens in your frame).  Besides eyeglass production, Melaina is very up-to-date on the best lens material choice for your prescription needs.  It's been a dream-come-true for her to have her own lab and to be able to give each pair of glasses the time and attention to detail required.
